"One thing I've noticed on all my travel recently is the safety demonstrations before the flight, y'know, the bit with the life jacket instructions. I got thinking about 'em 'cos the life jackets have the whistle and the light for attracting attention; why don't normal jackets have them? You could be out at a night club and if you need to get someone's attention, there you go, you can wave at 'em while blowing your whistle and flashing your strobe-light"
- Mick, mapping out how he's going to enter the fashion industry.

Mick calls as I'm about 3/4 of the way through the BERT write-up. I needed to get out of the house, so we head up to Manuka for lunch and decide on E Place Cafe for club sandwiches and smoothies, as I'd had breakfast there the other day & found the food was good & service quick. This time, however, they were quite busy & it was 10 minutes between getting drinks and some bread, then a further wait for our mains. When lunch did arrive, though, it was very good.

After lunch we wandered around to Paperchain and after browsing for a while came away with a look back at a history of the British venue The Comedy Store, a look forward on the worlds second oldest profession, and a copy of "Australia's New Foreign Affairs Magazine". Mick picked up a book on the public service that looks quite interesting.
