Movember: Kicking Prostate Cancer in the Arse
Welcome to Movember. During Movember, blokes all over Australia will be getting sponsorship and growing moustaches to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
They start clean-shaven today, then at the end of the month Mo 'bros and sistas' will get together at the gala parties to be judged for prizes in categories including the Best Porn Star Mo, Best Truckin' Mo, and Best Sportin' Mo, amongst others. Winners of the Man of Movember category at each party go into the running to be judged as National Man of Movember. Check out the 2003 and 2004 winners.
Local identity T-bone is putting the Mo back on the face of Australian fashion for a great cause, so throw some sponsorship coin his way (rego number 921), because:
- Men are twice as likely to die from cancer than women.
- Every year in Australia 2600 men die of prostate cancer – more than the number of women who die from breast cancer annually.
- Around 10,000 new cases of prostate cancer are diagnosed in Australian men every year.
