Standing on the Outside

A Cold Chisel tribute album was always going to happen. Standing on the Outside will hit the shops on 31 March, but if you can't wait that long (or you get sick of the Living End's cover of Rising Sun that'll inevitably get high rotation play 'til it makes you ears bleed), you can get new track samples every Friday between now & then.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that contributors include "Pete Murray, Katie Noonan, Something For Kate, Alex Lloyd, Augie March, Ben Lee and You Am I ... Murray recorded Forever Now for the album, while Paul Kelly took on Khe Sanh, Grinspoon did Saturday Night and Thirsty Merc My Baby". So far the site has samples from The Living End (Rising Sun), Something for Kate (When the War is Over) and Shane Nicholson (Cheap Wine).
