X-friendly, where x = whatever you're into

What influences your real estate decisions?

Came across Petfriendly last week by way of an AskMefi post by a Sydney woman who thinks she deserves to have a cat contrary to her lease. Here's my prediction: bigger rental listings sites will add a few pet-related fields to their databases and this site will wither and die.

What I'd like is for sites like AllHomes to add nerd-friendly fields for properties. Given how patchy broadband is in suburbia (especially - surprisingly - in new developments), I'm pretty confident there are people out there making real estate decisions on what they can & can't have in their prospective new place. It can't be that hard to add fields for Transact, Foxtel, ADSL, ADSL2, wireless coverage, can it?

Why stop there? Places close to live music venues could be tagged party-friendly, places with communal gardens could be tagged vegan-friendly, places with reliable power could be tagged hydroponic-friendly.

Or maybe all of this is about to be overtaken.
