Kid Confucius, Transit Bar
Kid Confucius put on an awesomely energetic show last night down in the intimate bowels of Canberra's Transit Bar as part of their Street Corner Soul tour. The Sydney-based eight-piece prodigal-soul band is on the road promoting their second album Stripes, which is more soul than their previous album which had a healthy dose of hip-hop within. The guys overcame a few initial technical glitches to belt out a show that had the room-packing crowd jumping all the way up to the finale - a horn-filled funked-up version of The Strokes' 'Last Nite'.
