Control

Scored tickets to a preview screening of the Ian Curtis biopic Control. It's bleak, but with unexpected laughs. As it reached its (and his) end, I was wondering how much Debbie and the remaining band members were in favour of it; turned out Debbie wrote the book the film was based on and co-exec produced it, and the New Order guys provided some of the incidental scoring.

See it if you like music biopics / rockdocs. If you're a Joy Division / New Order fan I'm guessing you've already ordered your tickets.

I was there last night too.
I really really enjoyed it. The actor who played Ian was outstanding.

That was the third JJJ freebie i have scored this year!

Fantastic film, thought the use of black and white was a masterful touch. Starting to love screen 2 at the Dendy as well. Two comps, two tickets :)
