Saturday
Dad turned 55 on Saturday, so it was Dad Day. Shopped for xmas gifts and for ourselves out at Stones Corner where there're a bunch of shops, mostly cheap. I only picked up a couple of jazz cds. Took the old man to lunch at a refurbished pub that had killer lamb shanks. Raced into town to post of the package to Melbourne for my sister that wasn't coming home before heading up to the uber-Westfields at Chermside to catch Die Another Day - which'd have to be the best Bond so far - and a couple of follow-up beers at Gilhooleys where an average white band entertained a collection of parties of 18yo's and a couple of rhythm-challenged old pisshead dancers.
