...and then a big brown shark came...
[Comedy] How much of a good stand-up routine is the material and how much is the person delivering it? Could someone else do Eddie Murphy's Delirious or Raw justice? Could a petite blonde do Margaret Cho?
I just came across this Wired News report on a kareoke spin-off: joke-e-oke. Basically, someone gets up on stage and delivers another comic's material. Some try to mimic the original delivery, intonation, timing & mannerisms, while others play with it. The audience doesn't even have to think of heckles; they're provided by monitors.
Might be a good competition; start with someone easy like, say, Ellen DeGeneres or Paul Reiser in their early days & then work your way up to something frantic like Robin Williams' Night at the Met. Hopefully the good contenders would take their successes and try their hand at original material & get onto the club/festival circuit.

How about a bloggeroke meet-up? At maybe the Braddon Bowlo on a Friday night?
For bowls or interpretive readings?
