New Competition for Green Square Watering Holes
[Canberra] The watering holes in Green Square, Kingston, are about to face some new competition. The shopfittings are in and the signs are up on Jardine St, and word around the 'burb is that Little Brussels Belgian Beer Cafe is due to open this Thursday night. But does Kingston attract enough punters to sustain another pub? Green Square already has Filthy McFadden's, The Durham Arms and the Kingston Holy Grail, Lot 33 and B Bar are around on Kennedy St and the Kingston Hotel is just up the road.
Update 5 April 05: Little Brussels opens tomorrow.

Kingston is such a dive, that maybe a new place will spark a bit of interest.
I mean, the Belgian's arguably make the best beer in the world, so I am keen to try it out..
And I bet they get lots of business from people who are sick of the other 3 Green Square options. (ie. Me)
I reckon it will be fine. New apartments mean a new pub is needed to take the pressure off.
Hoegarden and Mussells. I love the Belgians!
I'm marking that source down for credibility. It's almost a week down the track & the place still isn't open. Last Thursday, bah.
There's a new sign out front that says that it will open April 6, 4pm.
Little Brussels Belgian Beer Cafe opens tomorrow.
