Down in the Basement

What a cool way to spend a Monday night. I've just finished up doing a two hour jazz, blues, funk & soul show on Artsound with one of the soccer crew and it was a whisky bottle* full o' fun.

Tonight's playlist included:

Prince - When You Were Mine
David Bowie - Driving Saturday
Herbie Hancock, Jonny Lang & Joss Stone - When Love Comes To Town
Quincy Jones, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder & Bono - Let The Good Times Roll
Bobby Darin - Mack the Knife
Mark Sholtez - Not What I'll Be Missin'
Blossom Dearie - I Like London in the Rain
Eleni Mandell - Girls
Jackie Wilson - (Your Love Keeps Liftin' Me) Higher and Higher
Talking Heads - Heaven
Ian Moss - Georgia On My Mind
Mark Lizotte / Diesel - Tip Of My Tongue
Tim Finn & Neil Finn - In Love With It All
Deni Hines & James Morrison - Summertime
Tom Waits - The Hardest Saturday Night
Chaka Khan & The Funk Brothers - What's Goin' On
Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings - What Have You Done For Me Lately
Bentley Rhythm Ace - Bentley's Gonna Sort You Out
Erykah Badu & The Blues Brothers Band - Funky Nassau
Brassy - Play Some D
Herbie Hancock & John Mayer - Stitched Up
Muddy Waters - Good Morning Little Schoolgirl
Ben Harper & The Funk Brothers - Ain't Too Proud To Beg
Leadbelly - Easy Rider
Diane Reeves - One For My Baby
Chet Baker - But Not For Me

* - No actual whisky was consumed in the making of this radio show, but it would have been apt.
